Conservation centre inaugurated at Keenjhar Lake

The ground breaking ceremony of Keenjhar Information & Conservation Center, being established by the Indus for All Programme – World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Pakistan was held on Tuesday at Keenjhar Lake. Jan Willem Cools, First Secretary Environment and Water Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands laid the foundation stone. Cools said that the centre would contribute significantly in raising awareness about the lake among the general public.
Malir town to make fertiliser from offal

Malir Town Administration would make fertilizer from the offal collected from the area during Eid days, said acting nazim of the Malir Town, Nadeem Razi, on Tuesday. The nazim said that the offal would be disposed in three trenches in Khokarapar. The trenches which would be 100 feet long, 25 feet wide and 15 feet deep, he added.
