 Thunderstorm, rain expected in most parts

Islamabad

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Monday forecast isolated thunderstorm and rain at a few places of Rawalpindi division for Tuesday. However, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of Punjab including Islamabad during next 24 hours.

According to met analysis, a westerly trough is affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 48 hours.

In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, mainly cold and dry weather is likely during next 24 hours and after that scattered thunderstorm and rain with snowfall over the hills may occur in these areas during next 48 hours.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorm and rain with snowfall over the hills may occur in NWFP, Quetta and Zhob division in Balochistan during next 24 hours. However, dry weather is expected in most parts of Sindh during next few days.
