Share this story!     PHF names scrutiny committees for elections Friday, November 20, 2009 LAHORE: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Thursday announced the officials for club scrutiny and District hockey association’s elections on Thursday. The officials were announced by President PHF Qasim Zia and Secretary Muhammad Asif Bajwa along with MPA Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq, Secretary Sports Punjab and Chairman Chief Minister’s Task Force on Sports Ejaz Gul here at National Hockey Stadium. Secretary Sports Punjab Rao Iftikhar deputed as chief election commissioner, while MPA Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq will be the Chairman Scrutiny Committee Punjab and Ejaz Gul will be the Deputy Chairman. Olympian Iftikhar Syed will be the Chairman Scrutiny Committee Sindh, Olympian Muhammad Akhlaq will be the Chairman Scrutiny Committee NWFP, Olympian Musadaq Hussain will be the Chairman Scrutiny Committee Balochistan, Olympian Khalid Bashir will be the Chairman Scrutiny Committee Islamabad and Olympian Rahim Khan will be the Chairman Scrutiny Committee Gilgit Baltistan. The chairmen of the respective committees will select the members of their committees for scrutiny of clubs and elections. The scrutiny and elections process will complete from November 21 to December 4. Provincial Association’s elections will be held on November 5 and elections of PHF will be held in the first week of January. Qasim Zia said that he would monitor the complete process of elections and scrutiny by himself.
