 CM Urdu speech competitions start

LAHORE

IN the second stage of Chief Minister Punjab’s Speech & Essay Writing Competitions 2009, Urdu Speech Competitions of middle level at tehsil level started on Thursday in which a total number of 2494 students took part.

About 349 students from Lahore division, 375 from Gujranwala, 269 from Faisalabad, 328 from Multan, 306 from Sargodha, 257 from Rawalpindi, 286 from DG Khan and 324 from Bahawalpur divisions participated in these competitions.

According to the results of speech competitions at middle level of district Lahore, in tehsil Cantt among the female students, Amna Batool, Government Girls High School, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Maira Amjad, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Samanabad, and Palwasha Butt, Government Kinnaird High School, Lahore, obtained first, second and third positions respectively.

Similarly, among the male students of Tehsil Cantt, Muhammad Umar, CDGL Boys High School, Pakey Quarters, Farhad Hussain, Government Muslim League High School, Empress Road and Mashhar Waqar, Society School, Mughalpura, stood first, second and third respectively. In tehsil city, among the female students, Tehsin Amjad, Government Girls High School, 5B-1 Township, Tobba Abdul Sattar, CDGL Girls High School, Raj Ghar, and Maham Ejaz, Qazi Grammar, Kohinoor Housing Society, Qainchi Ammar Sidhu, secured first, second and third positions respectively while among the male students of Tehsil City, Fareed Ahmed Mustafa, Government Muslim Model High School, Urdu Bazaar, Muhammad Numan, Government Model Middle School, Pathi Ground and Farhan Qasim took first, second and third positions respectively.
