MA Bukhari who has mastery over three different genres of painting i.e. seascapes, floral and calligraphic paintings has brought a riot of colours to the City with his solo show that opened at the Collector’s Galleria on Thursday.
The exhibition showcases 32 works divided into three categories i.e. seascapes, floral art and calligraphy. Bukhari is a colour conscious artiste and knows the significance of the use of colours to reflect various moods and states of human life. He does not use brushes for his paintings anymore since he returned from Italy where he learned about the technique of Knife and Palate use. All his works have been done by knife instead of brush and have a mesmerizing effect on viewers.
The exhibition opened on Thursday and Bukhar’s works were well taken by art lovers and art students alike. Bukhari believes that he is contributing something to the local traditional art.
An exhibition of works of Imran Mudassar opened at ‘The Drawing Room’ Art Gallery, owned and curated by Sanam Taseer, the young and vibrant daughter of Punjab Governor Salman Taseer. Young Imran Mudassar has brought to the exhibition 32 creations.
Blunt in his artistic statements reflected in his works, Mudassar has perfected the art of transforming the realities of life on canvas through his unique imagination and in a surrealistic manner.
