 Coal stove demand on rise ahead of Eidul Azha

As Eidul Azha is approaching fast, the demand of the coal stove is on rise in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Most of the people use this stuff for the barbecue (Bar-BQ) especially during Eidul Azha. A trader of coal stove in Raja Bazaar told APP that customers demanded this coal stove, and his shop sale is on rise due to its demand. Most of the families are buying this coal stove to enjoy Bar-BQ at their homes with family. Rashid Ahmad, a customer at Commercial Market said that the coal stove is not only the source of tasty foods but also fun to cook the meat with family.

He said that every year his family demanded to have coal stove for cooking the meat specially during Eidul Azha.

He said that every age men and females liked cooked foods from this stove. “Different meals of meat have a special flavour when cooked on coal fire.” Rahim Khan, a 60 years old citizen of Rawalpindi said that initially the coal stove’s use was occasional; and earthen fireplace was the main sources of cooking. Over the time, the coal stove became very popular because coal hold heat longer and created less smoke.

The rural area people still used earthen fireplaces, but some also used coal stove specially on the Eidul Azha for Bar-BQ. He said that the now the people used the gas stove, and gradually the coal stove would also become extinct or would be used only for special cooking like Eid.

He said that even in the rural areas, the people have gas cylinders and stoves and they are gradually moving to it.
