Former MS of DHQ hospital moves bail plea

The former medical superintendent (MS) of the District Headquarters Hospital, Rawalpindi, moved a bail application in an anti-corruption court here on Tuesday. The court will give its ruling on the bail application on November 19. On Tuesday, it directed the Anti-Corruption Police to submit complete record of the case in the next hearing in the case. The Anti-Corruption Police had registered a case against eight persons, including District Headquarters Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Khalid Iqbal Malik, for their alleged involvement in appointment of quacks as doctors in the hospital on October 17. Dr. Khalid Iqbal Malik is undergoing treatment at the Holy Family Hospital.
Pindi board matric supply exam result tomorrow
Rawalpindi: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Rawalpindi (BISER) would announce the Supplementary Examination 2009 result on November 19, at 10 a.m. BISER Secretary Professor Hammayun Iqbal said here on Monday that result’s gazette copy would be sold for Rs450, for which a token can be obtained from Habib Bank Limited, Rahmanabad Branch, Rawalpindi.
IIU Iqra Centre exam on Dec 15
Islamabad: The second annual examination of Iqra Centre for Technical Education of the International Islamic University (IIU) will held December 15. The last date for submission of examination fee plus form is November 25th while the centre will charge double fee till December 5, and after that fee will be tripled, said a news release issued on Tuesday.
ANF recovers heroin, arrests woman

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Rawalpindi, arrested a woman from Hassanabdal after recovery of 500 grams of heroin from her possession on Tuesday, the ANF spokesman said. He said that acting on a tip-off, an ANF team intercepted a woman, identified as
Sartaj Bibi, wife of Akbar Khairi, near railway crossing in Hassanabdal and recovered 500 grams of heroin from her possession.
