Share this story!     PFF to observe World Fishermen Day Tuesday, November 17, 2009 By our correspondent HYDERABAD: The Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum (PFF) here on Monday announced to observe the World Fishermen Day across Sindh. Weeklong activities have been organised in this regard. PFF Vice Chairperson Mustafa Mirani made this announcement in a news conference at the Hyderabad Press Club. He said the government had not fulfilled its promises to resolve the problems of Sindh fishermen. Even contract system has not been abolished completely, he added. He said rallies, seminars, public meetings and cultural activities would be organised all over Sindh to mark the day while the main event would take place on Nov 21 in Karachi where the Sindh chief minister has promised to join fishermen. He demanded that no dam should be constructed on the Indus River and the existing dams should be decommissioned.
