 Man killed in Zia Colony

Karachi

A man was gunned down by assailants in Zia Colony in the jurisdiction of the Korangi police station on Wednesday.

Police said that the deceased was targeted by two assailants on a motorbike outside his residence. Korangi police have registered a case against the unidentified culprits.

Meanwhile, the body of a 28-year-old unidentified man was found from bushes in the limits of Korangi Industrial Area police station.

The police shifted the body to the Edhi morgue, Sohrab Goth, after conducting legal formalities at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.

mishaps: A 30-year old pedestrian, identified as Zohaib Ali was killed when a speeding vehicle hit him while crossing the road near Ghani Chowrangi in the SITE area.

Zohaib was a resident of Shershah and his body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for legal formalities.

In a separate incident, a motorcyclist, Tariq was killed when a vehicle hit his motorcycle on the Mai Kolachi road in the limits of Jackson police station.

The deceased was married and a resident of Mominabad. The body was handed over to his family after legal formalities.

Similarly, a 32-year old pedestrian, Iqbal, was killed when a vehicle knocked him down in Hawkesbay in the limits of Mauripur police station.

In a separate mishap, a 60-year old person identified as Khurshid Muhammad was crushed to death by a train when he was crossing a railway track near Chanesar Goth.
