Karachi

An enraged mob severely beat up three armed dacoits when they were fleeing after looting commuters of a bus, killing one of them and injuring two others in Delhi Colony in the limits of Baldia Town police station.

Baldia Town police officials informed that three armed dacoits, who were later identified as Amir, Majeed and Imran entered into a Dost Coach and after depriving the commuters of their valuables including cash and cell-phones, tried to flee from the scene.Commuters of the bus raised a hue and cry and the people present there got hold of all three of the dacoits and started beating them.

A police party of the Baldia police also reached there but in the meantime, the dacoits tried to escape by resorting to firing but in retaliation by the police, one of them was killed, who was identified as Amir.

Some people claimed that one of the dacoits was shot dead by the protestors by using their own guns but police claimed that the dacoit was killed by them.

Police said that the condition of two other dacoits including Majeed and Imran was stated to be critical and they were undergoing medical treatment at the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK).

The Baldia Town police have recovered three TT pistols and looted valuables while a case has been registered against the dacoits.
