Bureau report
PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) women wing staged protest here Tuesday to mark November 3 as Black Day.
The activists of PML-N were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against former military ruler General (R) Pervez Musharraf. They were chanting slogans against the former president and also against National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
The angry protesters also burnt the portrait of Pervez Musharraf to denounce the action he took on November 3, 2007 by imposing emergency in the country and dismissing the top judiciary.
The protest was led by general secretary of party’s women wing and member of the NWFP Assembly, Shazia Aurangzeb. The speakers demanded punishment for General Musharraf for subverting the constitution twice during his eight years dictatorial rule.
