| PIA flies to Gilgit and Skardu |

KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is operating twice weekly flights between Gilgit and Skardu, the airline said on Tuesday.
The flights being operated every Monday and Thursday between Gilgit and Skardu, meet the longstanding demand of the residents of the two cities, a PIA press release said.
“More destinations would be added while increasing the frequency of flights in future keeping in view the demand, preferences of passengers and economic viability of flights.”
Islamabad has been linked to Gilgit and Skardu. PIA now operates twice weekly flights for the IslamabadñGilgitñSkarduñIslamabad sector every Monday and IslamabadñSkarduñGilgitñIslamabad on Thursdays. PIA is operating the ATR aircraft on the route.
