The SSP Islamabad has directed SPs (City, Rural, Industrial Area and Saddar) and all SDPOs and SHOs to launch special drive against anti-social elements in their respective areas and ensure strict checking at all entry and exit points.

The police have directed owners of all hotels, motels, guesthouses and inns to keep the record of their clients and get copies of their identity cards and passports and keep abreast the concerned police stations.

The landlords and property dealers have also been directed to keep the police informed about the particulars of the tenants. Similar directions have been issued to car dealers before renting out their vehicles.

Security at all-important sensitive buildings has been further tightened. In this connection additional contingents of police have been provided to all police stations. Rescue-15 and police commandos have started joint patrolling in their respective areas.
