‘9 March sey Long March tak’

KARACHI: “9 March to Long March” a documentary focuses the two years of lawyer’s movement that had initiated, when President Musharraf acted on a filed reference against CJ Chaudhry Muhammad Iftikhar on a reference sent by the former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. At March 9, 2007, CJ was suspended by President Pervez Musharraf. This documentary will also explain the chronological details of events and issues. The documentary also discusses the events that seem causes of the chief justice dismissal and the suo moto actions including the rulings made against governmental corruption and Pakistan Steel Mills case.
As the court took suo moto notices in all walks of governance starting from prices of vegetables, song’s lyrics to traffic congestion, missing persons, Hasba Bill and kidney transplantation case during his tenure as a chief justice of Pakistan.
