| Road opening in Mohmand sought |

GHALLANAI: The local leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami in Anbar tehsil of Mohmand Agency have demanded of the administration to open Sar Lara Kandao Road to facilitate free movement of residents.
The leaders JI leaders , Yaseen, Said Ghulam, Sherzada and Taj Muhammad in a statement on Monday said the residents were facing great hardships due to persistent closure of road. They added the road blockade had also caused severe shortage of food, medicines and other necessary items in the area.
The JI office-bearers said the inhabitants of Ghaljo Darra and other adjoining areas had to cover a long distance on foot to reach their destinations. But the patients, they said, could neither go on foot nor shifted in vehicles because of road closure.
The JI leaders urged the political administration to open the road so that the dwellers of the area could be facilitated. The Sar Lara Kandao Road, it may be added, links the area to Bajaur Agency, which had been closed for traffic by the security forces due to volatile situation in the tribal agency.
