‘Nawaz became a victim of his own misdeeds’
Tuesday, October 27, 2009
Karachi, October 28, 1999
Member Coordination Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Hasan Mussana Alvi, has demanded of the military authorities to confiscate all the assets of those who plundered the national exchequer.
While hoping for an across the board accountability of all corrupt elements, in a statement, he said that how rampantly the Muslim League government had looted the country could easily be guessed from the fact that in the months of August and September only, the rulers waived off loans of billions of rupees by falsely showing 18 big industrial units as sick units. He maintained that today the country was going through its worst-ever financial crunch just because of the plunders committed by the Muslim Leaguers.
Meanwhile, Haq Parast legislatures of the suspended Sindh Assembly have deplored the protest demonstrations organized in foreign countries by Hasan Nawaz for the release of his father Nawaz Sharif. They said that when Muttahida started its demonstrations abroad to unravel Nawaz Sharif’s anti-human rights actions before international community, it was labeled as anti-state party and negative campaign was launched against it through the official media.
Farrukh Naeem Siddiqui, member of Muttahida’s Coordination Committee, while commenting on the offers made by different Muslim Leaguers to become approver against Nawaz Sharif, said that Nawaz Sharif has become a victim of his own misdeeds. He said that the deposed Prime Minister during his tenure unleashed brutal state oppression of Muttahida, implicated party legislatures and activists in false cases and forcibly made they change their loyalties with the party.
