The total number of victims rescued by Rescue 1122 includes 181,823 emergency victims in Lahore, 45,644 in Faisalabad, 15,511 in Rawalpindi, 22,603 in Bahawalpur, 40,776 in Multan, 18,239 in DG Khan, 16,723 in Rahim Yar Khan, 13,256 in Sahiwal, 22,861 in Gujranwala, 11,696 in Sialkot, 3791 in Murree and 8746 in Sargodha.

The handout said that timely and professional management by Rescue 1122 staff in response to traffic accidents, building collapses, hazardous material incidents, fire incidents, medical emergencies and explosions saved several victims of spinal injuries from becoming disabled and reviewed several victims by professionally using the emergency equipment available in emergency ambulances. Several victims of cardiac arrest were also saved by timely cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Rescue 1122 fire service saved an expected loss of over Rs 13,732 million by fire fighting on modern lines from June 2006 to September 2009.

Rescue 1122 Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer said that rescuers will maintain standards of service and gain respect and blessings of public by maintaining a courteous professional approach. He said although an international standard emergency service is available for rescue of emergency victims, the alarming increase in the number of avoidable road traffic accidents and fire incidents necessitated the need to work together to prevent such emergencies.
