| Seven killed in different incidents |

At least seven persons were killed in different parts of the city on Tuesday.
Sallahuddin, 45, son of Mehboob, was gunned down in New Karachi Sector 11/H in the limits of Sir Syed police station on Tuesday. SPO Khawaja Ajmeer Nagri, DSP Altaf Hussain said that Sallahuddin was sitting in his office at Ammer Apartments when two unidentified suspects came over and opened indiscriminate fire killing him instantly. The DSP suspected that it might be an act of target killing but added that the victim was not affiliated with any political or religious party.
An FIR was not registered till the filing of this report, however, DSP Hussain said that the victim’s son had filed a complaint for registration of an FIR against the unidentified killers.
In another incident, Zulekha, 22, wife of Arsalan Bugti was gunned down by three men over a dispute in Ahsanabad area in the limits of Sohrab Goth Police Station here on Tuesday.
The Sohrab Goth police said that the complainant Bugti told the police that three armed men, Usman, Nawaz and Gul Muhammad Bugti entered his house and started firing, which resulted in the death of his pregnant wife. The Sohrab Goth Police filed an FIR 685/09 against three nominated persons and are investigating.
A 30-year-old motorcyclist, Latif, was killed when a hit-and-run vehicle knocked him down on Sharea Faisal in the limits of Sharea Faisal police station.
Tariq, 14, was crushed to death by a speeding dumper in Haji Colony in the limits of Manghopir police station.
In a similar incident, Orangzeb Abbasi and his son Atif Abbasi, were crushed by a speeding dumper near Ghani Chowrangi in the limits of SITE B police station. Police have arrested the driver and impounded the vehicle.
In a separate incident, Ahmed Khan, 28, son of Abdullah was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a speeding rickshaw on Khayaban-e-Shujaat in the limits of the Clifton police station.
