Two women killed over Karo-Kari

KHAIRPUR: Two women were killed in two separate incidents on Monday on the pretext of Karo-Kari.In village Walo Mahar in the limits of Khanpur Mahar, Afzal Pitafi shot dead his daughter Malooka and surrendered himself to police later. He confessed his crime and told the police that he had killed his daughter over Karo-Kari. Separately, Liaquat Pitafi shot dead his wife, Sara, in the limits of Shikarpur over Karo-Kari.



Two die near Naushahro Feroze

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: Two people were killed and two others sustained injuries in two separate incidents near here on Monday, police said. The police said a speeding van†hit a motorcyclist on the National Highway near Bhiria city. As a result, the motorcyclist died on the spot. His identity is yet to be ascertained. The police have impounded the van and arrested its driver. A case has been registered against him. Separately, three Kalhora tribesmen were injured in Moro city after an exchange of fire with the Solangi tribesmen.



Nine recovered from illegal detention in Moro’

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: Civil Judge, Moro, Suhail Ahmed Mashori raided the Moro police station on Monday and got released nine people detained illegally in the lock-up for a week. The raid was conducted on the orders of the sessions judge, Naushahro Feroze. The people released were identified as Muhammad Uris Chandio, Muhammad Jurial Lashari, Muhammad Hayat Chandio, Azizullah Chandio, Ghulam Murtaza Chandio, Khameeso Machi, Allah Dino Almani, Asghar Chandio and Ghulam Nabi Lashari.
