Bureau report
PESHAWAR: Malgaray Doctoran, an Awami National Party-affiliated doctors’ wing, and People’s Doctor Forum (PDF), an organization of doctors having links with the Pakistan People’s Party, have formed a committee to mediate between the government and Provincial Doctors Association (PDA) to help end the ongoing strike by the medics.
A joint meeting was held at the LRH to discuss the ongoing strike of the doctors called by the PDA. The participants observed that the demands of the doctors were genuine and the government should consider the demands. They said the stipends of the doctors should be brought on a par with other provinces.
The meeting formed a 10-member committee that would meet the office-bearers of PDA and government officials.
