 Hearing in Mumbai attack case adjourned

The Anti-Terrorist Court, Rawalpindi, on Saturday adjourned hearing in Mumbai attacks case till July 4.

The Special Investigation Cell (SIC) had registered cases against eight suspects allegedly involved in Mumbai attacks. The SIC had arrested five out of eight Mumbai suspects namely Hamad Ameen Sadiq, Hamza alias Abu Alqa, Zarar Shah, Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi and Shahid Jamil Riaz alias Muhammad Riaz who are in Adiala Jail on judicial remand.

Meanwhile, the ATC adjourned the hearing in a case related to suicide attack on Marriott Hotel till July 4.

Aabpara Police Station had registered a case against Dr Usman and others for their alleged involvement in suicide attack on Marriott Hotel on September 20, 2008.

The ATC also adjourned the hearing in Maulana Azam Tariq’s murder case till June 22.

The Golra Police Station had registered a case under sections 302, 324 and 7 ATA against an accused Mudasir Ali for his alleged involvement in the murder of Maulana Azam Tariq in 2003.

The court also adjourned hearing in a terrorism case till July 4.

The Sadiqabad Police Station had registered a case under sections 3/4 Explosive Act of Pakistan and 7 ATA against Intikhab Abbasi and others for their alleged involvement in terrorism activities in 2008.
