 Islam believes in peace, unity and brotherhood

Speakers in ‘Mefil-e-Milad’ Tuesday stressed the need for the peace, unity and brotherhood in Muslim ‘Ummah’ to meet the challenges.

It is imperative for the Muslim ‘Ummah’ to follow the teachings last Prophet (PBUH) in letter and true spirit to achieve success in this life and hereafter.

This was stated by Federal Minister for religious Affairs Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi while addressing at Mehfel-e-Milad held at Saifee Masjid as chief guest late night here Tuesday.

Mehfel-e-Milad was organized by the Sheikh Hussain Bahi and Naeem Bahi of Anjuman Dawoodi Bohra. Besides the Federal Minister for Railways Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, former Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Ijaz-ul-Haq, Iranian cultural councilor General and a large number of devotees also attended the Mafil-e-Milad.

Addressing on the occasion the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi said that Islam is the religion of peace, unity and brotherhood.

He said the Islamci teachings totally reject extremism and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. The Federal Minister said Peace and harmony can only be achieved by acting upon teachings of the Holy Quraan and the Sunnah.

Speaking on the occasion the Federal Minister for Railways Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour denounced terrorism saying Islam promotes peace and brotherhood.

He said “this was the dilemma of our society that we as whole nation have been suffering at the hands of terrorists” adding he also became the victim of terrorism and unfortunately his son was killed in that tragedy.

Haji Bilour strongly condemned the suicide attacks and termed these acts as crimes against humanity.
