Justice Iftikhar listens to PM’s speech on Geo TV

ISLAMABAD: Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Monday listened to the speech of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on the Geo TV channel with attention in his house, where lawyers, civil society members and journalists were present in large numbers.

Two lawyers immediately went to the rooftop of the house and hoisted the flag of Pakistan. In an informal speech, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said he was thankful to Almighty Allah, the lawyers and the nation.

As the prime minister’s speech ended, Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry raised his hands and thanked Allah. After this, the lawyers and the civil society members present in the house started chanting slogans, but he stopped them from doing so. The lawyers and the civil society members congratulated Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. After some time, Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry went to another room to offer Nawafil.
