MNA from Bajaur demands expulsion of US ambassador
Sunday, May 18, 2008
KHAR: The MNA from the Bajaur Agency, who belongs to the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Syed Akhundzada Chattan, on Saturday demanded of the government to expel the US ambassador from Pakistan and lodge a strong protest against the missile attack.

Addressing a press conference here, he threatened a protest in and outside parliament if the government failed to heed to his demands. He said the US committed aggression by launching attacks on the Pakistani soil and killing innocent people.

PPP leaders Habibur Rahman, Khan Bahadur Khan, Shahabuddin and Khan Zeb were also present on the occasion.

"The protest lodged by the Pakistan government against the missile raid is not enough. The government should also sever diplomatic ties with the US and expel its envoy immediately," the MNA demanded.

Chattan said whenever the Pakistan government and the Taliban initiated dialogue, the US-led allied forces targeted the tribal areas of Pakistan and killed innocent people. Warning the American government to refrain from such actions, Chattan appealed to the tribal elders, the Taliban, the Pakistan Army and the government to shun their differences and unite against the foreign aggression.
