IGP Sindh takes notice of traffic jams

KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Fayyaz Ahmed Laghari here Monday took serious notice of media reports about frequent traffic jams in Karachi.


He directed Additional IG Karachi, Additional IG Traffic to take steps to ensure smooth traffic flow, as well as, security and safety of road users. He said in case of any traffic jam urgent steps should be taken to divert traffic to alternate routes.


He said motorcycle squads of nearest police station should intervene urgently to keep the blocked roads open.


He also sought detailed report about the deployment of police officers and implementation on previous orders. (PPI)

Now they have to take notice of the hundreds of people killed in Karachi but to them that's just a trivial matter and traffic congestion a more serious concern. Thank you IGP
