PSL: South Africa denies NOC to players

- January 30, 2013 - Updated 2250 PKT - From Web Edition

KARACHI: In yet another blow to Pakistan Super League within the matter of some hours Cricket South Africa has refused to give NOCs to its players on Wednesday after Cricket Australia made it clear that they would not support any contracted players participating in the PSL.

The South Africans say they won’t issue NOC to players for Pakistan Super League given the security situation in the South Asian country.

South African Cricket Association was also not satisfied with the idea of sending players to Pakistan after reviewing security situation in Pakistan.

Surely we can play in the Gulf and televised the matches. Think out of the box, The final could be played in the USA or Canada. Lets start some thing for Pakistani players and fans.

United Kingdom
Pakistan has the worlds best spinner (Saeed Ajmal) and worlds best all rounder (Mohammed Hafeez). We dont need south african and australians if they dont want to be apart of something special its their loss!! Not PSL

With the security situation so pathetic across the country no board will give an NOC to its players, the PCB chairman is probably out of his mind when he is thinking of holding the super league cricket tournament, and with R malik warning of the situation to be getting worst, there is no point in holding the tournament.

PCB should review its position on the league as most countries will not allow their players to participate due to the secuirty concerns. No matter how much we defend ourselves on the issue no one will heed until the menence of terrorism is rooted out completely. There are no indication that is possible in the short term, so let us give up the dream of any cricket team coming to Pakistan in the near future.
