LAHORE: President Asif Ali Zardari Friday said that the government would help the victims of fire incidents that occurred in Lahore and Karachi.
During a meeting with Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa and PPP leaders here at Governor House, the president said that flood affectees would also not be left alone.
He said that fire incidents in Lahore and Karachi are deplorable and the government will help the victims by all possible means.
Governor Punjab informed the president about overall law and order situation in the province and the probe regarding factory fire incident in Lahore.
Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari arrived at Lahore airport where Punjab Governor Latif Khosa, and Raja Riaz received him.
No provincial government official was present at the airport to receive the president.
