KARACHI: Five persons were gunned down and five others injured in unending firing incidents in Karachi since Friday morning.
According to rescue sources, a man was gunned down and another wounded when unidentified assailants opened fire at them near Dawood intersection in Landhi Town.
Deceased was identified as Ali, about 25 years of age. His body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities. Injured Syed Nawaz was also taken to same hospital for treatment.
Khurram son of Haroon, about 28 years, was gunned down in Pir Illahi Bux Colony. He sustained multiple bullet shots on his upper body parts and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital for postmortem.
Meanwhile, a person was gunned down and two others wounded in Ram Suwami area. Huzefa, about 20 years, received multiple gunshots and died on spot, his body was shifted to Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Two injured in same incident, Amir, 20 and Kashif, 25, were taken to Civil Hospital for treatment.
Fazal-ul-Haq, 30, and Sher Alam were injured when unidentified armed men opened fire at them near Mira Naka in Lyari Town. Both were taken to Civil Hospital for treatment, where Fazal-ul-Haq, succumbed to his injuries.
Unidentified armed men wounded Latif, 18, near Liaquat Abad. He was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
