LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Quaid Altaf Hussain has said that the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah was a great democratic leader, who guided the Muslims of the sub-continent to achieve freedom.

Paying glowing tributes to the founding father of the country on his 64th death anniversary, Mr Hussain said that the Quaid-e-Azam considered all the people living in Pakistan as citizens of equal status irrespective of their religious following. He said that Pakistan stands in need of promoting religious tolerance and sectarian harmony in the light of the ideals of the Quaid-e-Azam.

...And this Quaid of the MQM considers all native Pakistanis -- the Punjabis, the Sindhis, the Pashtuns, the Balochs and others -- inferior to his 'race'.

You asylum seeker, fugitive, loyal subject of Her Majesty living lavishly speaking from your cocoon in London. Glad to see that only an ethnic, linguistic group pays attention to your gibberish, rest of us lucky that we are spared.

Mr. Altaf Hussain, this is not Jinnah's Pakistan. It is Zia-ul-huq's Pakistan where all citizens get equal rights as long as they follow one specific religious sub-sect. If not ask the 7 year boy who was shot along with his father as he was crying and refused to leave his side when the bus was taken over by so called religious fanatics or the new bride who was asked to take his bride-groom's bullet riddled body back on the same bus. I know this comment will not be published by Jang/TheNews.

Well said. All citizens are of equal status irrespective of their religious following. May God bless the soul of Muhammad Ali Jinnah in eternal peace.

Well said Altaf, well said. A 'girgat' changes its colors. However, do you remember a tiny and minuscule remark made in India some years back? Search your archives or hit 'Youtube.com.' What a change. Salams
