Rain turns Peshawar weather pleasant

PESHAWAR: The heavy downpour on Monday turned the weather of Peshawar pleasant as people along with families rushed to parks and gardens to enjoy this positive change.

 

People heaved a sigh of relief after heavy rain break the long dry spell in the provincial metropolis and visited Khalid Bin Waleed, Wazir Bagh, Qayyum stadium and Jinnah parks to enjoy the pleasant change in the weather.

 

The rain came as a blessing after people had repeatedly offered special prayers, Namaz-i-Istisqa, for rains in Peshawar in recent weeks.

 

The rain helped washed away dirt, settle down the dust and cool the air in the City. According to Met Office here, the weather of Peshawar will remain partly cloudy with chances of more rain this evening/night.

 

The seasonal low lies over Balochistan and adjoining area and strong monsoon currents are expected to affect most parts of the country during next 2 weeks.

 

Scattered Rain/thundershower with Isolated heavy fall is expected in upper Punjab (Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions), upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat divisions) and Kashmir during next 24 hours. The weather of Peshawar, Abbottabad, Parachinar, Mardan will remain partly cloudy with chances of rain this evening/night.

 

During next 48 hours, scattered Rain/thundershower with Isolated heavy fall is expected in upper Punjab (Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions), upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat divisions) and Kashmir.

 

Isolated rain/thundershower occurred in Northeast Punjab including Islamabad, Upper KP and Kashmir during last 24 hours.

 

Maximum rain was received by Islamabad (Zero Point) 161 milimeter, Islamabad (Golra) 78, Rawalpindi (Chaklala) 55, Islamabad (Saidpur) 54, Rawalpindi (Shamsabad) 52, M.B.Din 45, Rawalpindi (Bokra) 34, Kotli 13, Mangla 12, Dir 11, Kakul & Gujranwala 08, Bunji 07, Parachinar & Pattan 04, Malamjabba 03, Risalpur 02, Lahore (PBO) & Murree 01 mm during last 24 hours.

Govt and None Governmental Organization should ready in advance to prevent disaster of flood ,usually it collapsed old building and cause many types of disaster.
