ISLAMABAD: Monsoon currents entered into different areas of the country on Monday morning and rains lashed at upper parts in the morning.
According to Met Office, there are chances of rain on the first two days of Eid-ul-Fitr in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Abbottabad, Haripur, Jehlum, Chakwal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Norowal, Gujranwala, Lahore and Sheikhupura and also in Azad Kashmir.
The new spell of monsoon will last till Wednesday.
Widespread rain-thundershower with isolated heavy rainfalls is expected over Kashmir, Hazara, Islamabad/Rawalpindi , Lahore , Gujranwala, Sargodha and Faisalabad divisions in next 24 hours, a private TV channel reported.
Weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country in last 24 hours. However rain/thundershower occurred at Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala.
Amount of rainfall recorded during last 24 hours is Muzaffarabad 160, Rawalpindi (Chaklala) 81, Islamabad 22, Balakot 19, Sialkot 08 and Murree 05 mm.
Maximum temperature during last 24 hours was recorded at Dalbandin as 45 CC.
