Paddian: MQM-JSQM clash injures11

PADIDAN: The contingents of police and rangers took control of Padidan town of Naushehro Feroze district after it turned into battlefield during exchange of heavy firing by the activists of MQM and Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz in which around eleven persons from both sides sustained bullet injuries on Sunday.

 

The administration has imposed Section 144 after the incident.

 

It is said that the clash took place over removing the flags of JSQM by the MQM activists.

 

MQM alleged that JSQM activists opened fires in which Abdul Rahman Rajput, leader of Shahri Ittehad, and Khalid Iqbal Rajput were first injured in firing. After the firing, a large number of MQM activists surrounded the Padidan police station and forced the shopkeepers to close the business.

 

The MQM activists also started firing that was retaliated by JSQM. The firing continued in the presence of police resulting in severe injuries to Ashfaque Rajput, Tarique Rajput, Rana Abdul Sattar Rajput, Ahsan Rajput, Jamil Ahmed, Humayoon Raja Rajput and Irfan Rajput of MQM and three activists of JSQM including Imtiaz Khaskheli. The condition of Imtiaz Khaskheli is state to be precarious. The injured were rushed to local as well as Nawabshah and Hyderabad hospitals.

 

In view of tense situation, the contingents of police and rangers were called from Naushehro Feroze.

 

The police have registered FIRs against 20 persons of MQM and JSQM. The nominated accused include Bejal Ansari, Asadullah Malik, Khalil Shah, Shamsuddin Siyal, Irfan Siyal, Azhar Malik, Shahid Mallah, Shakil Manganhar, Irfan Chandio, Rahmatullah Marri and Mubeen Shar of JSQM and Abid Gogi, Rashid Rajput, Nadeem Rajput, Abdul Rahman Rajput, Tasleem Rajput, Sharafat Rajput, Aftab Rajput, Noman Rajput and Abid alias Melo Rajput of MQM.
