Eid celebrated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR: Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA on Sunday.

 

The faithful offered Eid prayers at different places of the city and prayed for the progress and peace in the country.

 

The chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti along with provincial ministers including Mian Iftikhar, Bashir Bilour and Namrooz Khan offered Eid prayer at Chief Minister House.

 

Later they exchanged Eid greetings. The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will perform Eid prayer at Governor House on Monday.

 

In most areas of Swat, D.I.Khan, Dir and Chitral, the people continued fast and they would celebrate Eid on Monday with the central government.

 

Eid-ul-Fitr was also celebrated in most parts of FATA. The tribesmen offered Eid prayers and prayed for progress and prosperity of Pakistan and peace. The ulema in their sermons threw light on the philosophy of Eid. (APP)
