QUETTA: Law enforcement agencies foiled a bid to blow up Rawalpindi bound train Jaffar Express on Sunday.

Police said after leaving Quetta, Jaffar Express was on its way when the driver of the locomotive saw a suspected item rigged to the railway track near Kolpur.

"The driver stopped the train and informed the Pakistan Railway officials," police said adding that a team of bomb disposal squad reached the site.

After examination, it was revealed that the suspicious item was Improvised Explosive Devise fitted with the railway track to carry out

a blast when train pass by the area.

The bomb disposal squad defused it.

The law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the entire area to trace out the suspects. Police said the saboteurs wanted to perpetrate massive destruction one day before Eid celebrations. Further probe was under process. (APP)

this is nothing but distrubing news. Long term solution is not to keep on foiling such miscreant activities but to address problems, issues so that such miscreant issue never takes place. But it appears rulers lack common sense to overcome any problem or issue.
