PESHAWAR: Peshawar's Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Peshawar has demanded of the Provincial Minister for Religious Affairs to announce celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr on Sunday in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The representatives of the zonal committee complained that eye-witnesses reports confirming the sighting of Shawwal moon were pouring in but the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee abruptly ending its meeting announced that the moon was not sighted anywhere in the country.
They said 18 witnesses had confirmed sighting of the Shawwal moon in various parts of the province and demanded of the provincial government to make a formal announcement for celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr on Sunday across KP.
