Finance Ministry releases Rs 10b for PSO

ISLAMABAD: Ministry of finance has released Rs.10 billion to PSO on the demand of Ministry of Water and Power as payment of fuel debt.

 

According to the Ministry of Water and Power official, the Ministry of Finance will be paying this amount for the subsidy on electricity given to the consumers.

 

Talking to Geo News, the MD PSO Naeem Yahya Mir said that this is a small payment, as the Ministry of Water and Power owe PSO Rs.225 billion in fuel debts.
