KARACHI: Three people including two activists of a religious party were shot and killed on the night between Monday and Tuesday here in Karachi, Geo News reported.
Reportedly, unknown gunmen opened fire at Pakistan Sunni Tehrik’s camp in Saeedabad area of Baldia Town killing two workers, whereas in a separate incident a man was killed in the Nursery area on Sharae Faisal.
Cases have been registered and investigation is underway.
Moreover, police foiled a terror attack after they were alerted to a bomb near the Hyderi Market in North Nazimabad late on Monday night.
A boy was passing the Dolman Mall when he spotted the bomb in front of the mall and informed policemen, who were on duty nearby.
Thousands were shopping in the market at the time of the incident.
The policemen called in Bomb Disposal Squad officials, who defused the explosive device weighing 25 kilograms. A police official said the bomb contained ball bearings. An investigation is under way.
