PPP wants NA debate on Nawaz statement

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) submitted an adjournment motion in the National Assembly Secretariat over the recent statement of ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif regarding the Mumbai attacks demanding discussion on the floor of the House of negative impact on the country’s national security and diplomatic efforts with the statement.

The adjournment motion submitted by PPP legislators Syed Naveed Qamar, Shahzia Marri, Nawab Yousaf Talpur, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah and others to discuss the recent statement of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over the Mumbai attacks.

The adjournment motion stated that the recent statement of ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in which he indicated Pakistan’s involvement in the Mumbai attacks that draw the world attention. “With this irresponsible statement, the country’s diplomatic efforts and national security will face a serious consequences, and it should be discussed on the floor of the House,” the PPP’s adjournment motion stated.
