ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Water and Power, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar Wednesday directed the Energy Management Committee (EMC) to review the existing loadshedding plan and carry out uniform loadshedding in rural and urban parts of the country.
According to a statement of the Ministry, Mukhtar issued the above directive while presiding over a meeting of EMC here.
He ordered EMC to ensure supply of electricity to the distribution companies in accordance with their respective shares and to put an end to unscheduled power outages.
The Federal Minister said uninterrupted supply of electricity was the government's foremost priority. All the available resources are being employed to increase generation of electricity, he added.
