Investment contains no Zakat: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan Wednesday tossed away all the allegations leveled against him by Pakistan Muslim League-N's leader Khwaja Asif earlier today in which the latter accused the former of investing Shaukat Khanum Hospital's Zakat funds in the real estate market and other offshore companies.

Reacting to the allegations at a press conference here, Imran Khan said: "The endowment fund is meant for investment and our fund of 30 million dollars is a guaranteed amount and contains not a single penny from Shaukat Khanum's Zakat fund."

The PTI Chief said he would take PML-N President Nawaz Sharif into litigation if the latter accused him of a theft. "I am accusing Nawaz Sharif of engaging in money laundering, he should take me to the court," he snapped.

He said N-League's Hanif Abbasi alleged that Shaukat Khanum's board of directors used to take bribe and 'we filed a lawsuit against him (Hanif Abbasi) which is still pending at the court'. He requested the judiciary to dispose such cases before long.

"Those who attempt to do political point scoring through leveling allegations should have carried out some pre-investigation," he said, adding Shaukat Khanum is not Imran Khan's personal property, 'it is Pakistan's national asset'.

He said there is a separate board of directors for the endowment fund of which he is not a member. "The money did not flow out of Pakistan, as it came from abroad and the company which invested 30 million dollars belongs to Imtiaz Hyderi," he clarified.

He said the balance of Shaukat Khanum presents a clear picture of the facts against PML-N's allegations.

Imran Khan reiterated that he had no asset or any other wealth outside Pakistan and whatever he owns here came from his earnings as a cricketer.

Imran shouldn’t answer any Silly Allegations made by Khawaja Asif, until he/PML-N give details 1) what happened to 12 billions of rupees embezzled by Nawaz out of ‘Mulk Bacho Qarz Utaro’ Scheme, 2) Nawaz got money to establish Steel Mills in Saudi Arabia, 3) Nawaz sons got that huge money to run the enormous Real Estate business in London, 4) wherefrom Nawaz got money to build the Raiwind empire, 5) the total assets owned in Pakistan & in abroad by Nawaz Sharif, his wife & his children.

Every must know that SKMH hospital belongs to the poor people of Pakistan nor Sharifs nor Imran Khan. Whole the world knows ABOUT Imran khan’s honesty. In all charity organizations there are maintained an Endowment Fund" to use it in times of any big crisis and a committee runs / supervise this fund. What is wrong, if this fund is invested to get revenue which is legal?.v r with imran khan
