Oil prices in international market were at 87 dollars per barrel on 15 July 2012 and the prices are the same today on 1st Aug 2012. What is the rationale for price increase? It seems that Yousuf from UK is right that poor masses of Pakistan have again been asked to pay for Zardari's corruption

Should poor of Pakistan be asked to pay for Zardari’s corruption? It is an umpteen hike in price of petroleum since he came into power with little or no real protestation and may not be the last before elections. It has reached an unsustainable level, but where is MQM who once stood with the poor! Altaf sold his soul to Zardari and hence its silence, for which it will be punished by people at the next polls. Pakistan needs a Tahrir style revolution to unseat the thugs including MQM.

This is fantastic news. Maybe this dumb stupid public of Pakistan will learn there lesson and throw out Zaradri and his PPP with there cronnies . But going by the Multan results I doubt it. It will need Pakistan to become like Africans before they learn there lesson.

Diesel drives the economy. It should be always 1/3 of what petrol costs. All heavy transport runs on it. This will be a major boost for the economy and prices will go down - a major deflationery measure. But we have Sun every where and with new technology, energy can be available 24 hours even during night. Fossil fuel should be used only for transport. When we do not use fossil fuel like petrol, diesel and gas for cities and industries a lot is spared for transport and it will not cost much.
