Toll in Mach road mishap rises to 8

QUETTA: At least eight people have been killed and 18 others injured in a collision between a passenger bus and a Mazda truck near Mach area of Kachhi Bolan district on Tuesday.

 

Levies Force sources told that a Quetta-bound speedy bus from Larkana collided head on with a Mazda truck near Mach, leaving eight commuters dead and 18 others injured. The police rushed to the site and shifted the dead and injured to civil hospital Mach and later 15 of the injured were referred to Quetta due to their serious condition.

 

Two women were among dead, however, only one of the dead was identified as Muhammad Raheem.

 

The injured include Zahida Bibi, Qurban, Abdul Wahab, Shah Nawaz, Nadir Khan, Abdul Sattar, Muhammad Salim, Salamuddin, Maqsood Ali, Abdul Aziz, Wali Muhammad, Imdad Ali, Abdul Hakim, Abdul Nabi, Liaquat Ali and Nawabuddin. Most of victims belonged to Shikarpur, Jacobabad and Larkana districts of Sindh province and were heading towards Quetta.

 

According to doctors, the condition of some injured is very serious. Most of the victims belonged to Shikarpur, Jacobabad and Larkana.
