LONDON: Pakistan hockey team displaying a good game held Spain to a 1-1 dra in their first encounter in the Olympic hockey tournament here on Monday.

 

After going 0-0 draw in the first half-time, centre-forward Rehan Butt made a breakthrough netting a superb goal in the second time but Spain equalled the score within a minute.

It was a match well played and contested. The Spaniards made more moves towards our goal but our forwards were alert and foiled their attempts. Our team can be a bit more forthright and aggressive in play, mind you not attitude. The TV Referrals are a good start and remove all doubts. Salams
