Bari Imam Complex project to be sped up

ISLAMABAD: Chief Commissioner Islamabad Tariq Mahmood Pirzada has directed the Project Director, CDA and Contractor to speed up the pace of work on the under construction Shrine of Hazrat Barri Imam Development Complex and ensure the quality of work.

 

Chief Commissioner, Islamabad gave these directions during his visit at the construction site of Shrine on Thursday. He conducted thorough

visit of Shrine and reviewed the progress of on-going work at the shrine.

 

He issued necessary directions to the concerned officials to further speed up the pace of work and quality of work. Project Director, CDA and Contractor, gave a detailed briefing to the Chief Commissioner, Islamabad about the progress of on-going construction work at the site.

 

They informed that construction work on the first phase of project has been expedited and 75 per cent work has been completed including

construction of main structure of the shrine, arcade, courtyard,

construction of eight small domes.

 

The Project Director, CDA, told that funds to the tune of Rs 315.109 million are available at present. The approved revised cost of PC-1 of the project is Rs 641.50 million. So far, expenditure of Rs 190.50 million has been incurred on the project. The balance of Rs 124.431
