MIANWALI: The Chashma Nuclear Power Plant (CNPP) once again tripped on Tuesday suspending the generation of 325 megawatts of electricity, Geo News reported.
According to Ministry of Water and Power 325 megawatts were reintroduced into the national grid after engineers removed a technical fault that struck the Chashma Nuclear Power Plant II in Mianwali.
Earlier on Sunday both the CNPP I-II had broken down, but were repaired later on Monday.
With this recent failure of one of CNPP II, loadshedding is likely to increase in the country.
However, the closure of the CNPP has again led to power crisis across the country.
Repair was underway, authorities told Geo News.
