India bat against Sri Lanka in 2nd ODI

HAMBANTOTA, Sri Lanka: India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni elected to bat in windy conditions after winning the toss against Sri Lanka in the second one-day international in Hambantota on Tuesday.

 

India retained the side which won the opening one-dayer of the five-match series by 21 runs on Saturday while Sri Lanka replaced injured paceman Nuwan Kulasekara with debutant Isuru Udana.

 

The last three matches will be played in Colombo (July 28 and 31) and Pallekele (August 4).

 

The one-day series will be followed by a one-off Twenty20 international in Pallekele on August 7.

India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain & wk), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Ravichandran Ashwin, Pragyan Ojha, Zaheer Khan, Umesh Yadav.
