ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik has been re-elected unopposed as Senator from Sindh on Monday, Geo News reported.

According to sources, Provincial Election Commissioner Sonu Khan issued the notification pertaining to Malik’s re-election to Senate unopposed after scrutinizing his nomination papers.

Earlier on Friday, Malik had submitted his nomination papers for a Senate seat from Sindh. By the end of the office hours, nobody else had filed papers with Sindh’s Election Commissioner.

The seat had fallen vacant when Malik had resigned from the upper house of parliament over the issue of dual nationality.

While talking to the media, Malik thanked MQM chief Altaf Hussain and Arbab Ghulam Rahim for their support.

He has succeeded in hood winking supreme court. What a sad day for Pakistan when idiots undermine the apex court. It was possible with the support of ANP. Well done all the criminals, you people are doing good job for your master

Non god fearing people cannot be trusted. What a drama- resign, withdraw nationality request, get reelected. I don't believe he has surrendered any thing. Even if he has withdrawn his request for nationality he hasn't surrendered his indefinite stay visa. Only god can give us protection from him and his gang members

Congratulations to the Pakistan for Mr. malik's re-election. This is victory of democracy. The credit goes to the people of Sind whom representatives [PPP, MQM, and ANP] voted to bring this champion of every thing back. Looks like Sind is out of ba-zameer people for letting their representatives elect this champion. There is no difference if this is PPP, PML, MQM, or ANP. We are responsible for electign these reps and look who they are bringing in. Did any one ask? this is very insulting.

That is an extreme example of the joke committed by Rehman and fake government of Zardari? No body else can do this in the whole world. Will the supreme court allow this open cheating? Is Zardari holding the God as a prisoner in his jail so that he is now helpless against the man of will. God certainly has no power to help the poor. They are born poor and then die as poors. The rich are other way round.

Another disgraceful day in our history. A person who has consistently lied about his foreign nationality and whose loyalty with Pakistan is an open question has dodged the law and constitution yet once more. A nation of 170 million has no better person that can run interior ministry? It's a shame for us that how the foreign powers influence our national affairs by installing their puppets. Alas, we cannot even get rid of a known foreign agent who is in-charge of our most sensitive ministry.
