Zardari for controlling prices in Ramzan

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has directed the chief ministers of the four provinces besides Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir to effectively control the prices of essential items during the holy month of Ramzan to facilitate the people.

 

The President issued the directives through letters addressed to the chief ministers.

 

"Prices of any commodity must not be allowed to be raised in the holy month," he instructed.

 

He directed the concerned authorities of urban as well as rural areas to strictly monitor the prices of essential goods.
