ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister for Petroleum, Dr Asim Hussain on Wednesday said uninterrupted supply of fuel was being ensured to thermal power plants despite non-payment of dues on their part.

Talking to Geo News, he said the improvement in power generation became possible through the efforts of Petroleum Ministry.

He said the supply of furnace oil and gas was being ensured on the directive of the President.

Dr Asim said approval has been granted for increasing the per day supply of gas to KESC by 50 MMF during Ramazan, raising the total supply to the utility to 250 MMF from the existing 200 MMF.

PSO has also been directed to fulfill the KESC's demand for oil.
