KARACHI: Chairman Tehreek-i-Insaf, Imran Khan Wednesday likened destruction of the Supreme Court to that of the democracy and warned to launch a 'tsunami march' if the government attempted to destroy the apex court.

 

Talking to media persons at Karachi airport, Imran Khan accused the government of colluding with the US, adding the drone attacks could not be carried out without the former's consent.

 

He also announced to stage a 'historic march' in Peshawar against the drone strikes on July 14.

 

To a question, he said: "I am not an anti-American, I am only against US policies. A majority of Americans are with us."

 

Appreciating the appointment of Fakhruddin G Ibrahim as Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Imran Khan termed it the one and only good step of the government.

 

He described overseas Pakistanis as the country's asset and that they should be granted the right to vote, adding, however that the right to contest election and make legislation rests only with the holders of Pakistani passport only.

Mr Imran Khan ! Where were you when people walked long miles from Lahore to Islamabad against NATO Supplies. That means you are NOT against the release of NATO ration from Pakistan to invading forces in Afganistan

IK has said many times that he is against USA policies. What good we do to our people or our country if we just say I am anti-American. We are divided nation, punjabis, balouchis, sindhis pathans...and then sunni and shias. Are we ready yet? If not then there is no harm in saying "I am not Anti American"

@Ali - Imran track record doesn't signifies that he has a dual standard like other opportunists politician in Pakistan. When he says that he ONLY against US policies then it clearly tells you that ONLY this man is only the hope which will put Pakistan in the path of prosperity.

Today IK seems to be a little sober as compare to his previous angry appearance on the media. Initially we thought that he will stand in front of the Ist NATO truck and like an angry cricketer will hit the driver with his bat but thanks God he is now cooled down.

"GayhouN k sath ghunn bhe pista hai" We need drones to kill terrorists but, some innocent civilians get killed in the process. We must have better ways and means to do, what drones are employed to do. We should not say or do anything that would give someone excuse to ,identify us as the well-wisher of terrorists, even in default.
